What if you weren’t allowed to love?
Imagine…
…having the love of your life taken from you for unjust reasons then your reputation ruined on unjust grounds, then losing your job, your friends, then subjected to 28 years in federal prison… then developing hepatitis C while in prison since more than 75% of the inmates carry this disease since sadistic guards scatter tiny needles on the grounds so an infected prisoner with nothing to live for pricks himself, then pricks the newbie, which instantly transfers the virus since Hep C is highly infectious… then you get piped, a tradition done on good looking newbies, where a pipe is used to bash in all the newbie’s teeth so they give better head… then being pitted against two rabid dogs in a small cell that guards brought in for their sadistic pleasure… then you’re eventually diagnosed with HIV since unprotected rape is standard… and all because you and another person loved each other but the law says was a wrong kind of love. Your incarceration drove the love of your life to suicide.
Here’s a song that has caused many to shed tears. I dedicate it to all those whose lives have been ruined because they are judged to be different by the culture into which they were born.

religious differences
gender indifferences
so one goes into a cell
while the other suicides
and the child dies inside
an empty hollow shell
spilled my heart
feelings gone
replaced by coal
only darker, deader
dessicated teardrops weep
a mirage of times past
with ten years gone
alone til the bitter end
